IDE 737
Advanced Instructional Design

Course Description: Serving as the culminating experience for Syracuse University’s M.S. in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation (IDD&E) program, this capstone course provided the opportunity to synthesize my knowledge and demonstrate complete mastery of instructional systems design. The curriculum centered on bridging theory and practice through two major deliverables: a professional e-portfolio and an applied capstone project. To complete the capstone, I identified a real-world performance gap and systematically designed a targeted solution—conducting a thorough needs assessment, mapping a content hierarchy, developing module storyboards, and articulating a robust design rationale. Ultimately, this course yielded a comprehensive digital portfolio of evidence-based instructional products, demonstrating my readiness to deliver high-impact solutions as a learning professional.
